Mary Ellen Lawrence : Owner and Operator
After working as an international flight attendant and then in Denver art galleries, she moved to Italy to pursue her interest in Italian art and architecture. Mary Ellen first worked at the Studio Art Center International in Florence and then earned two Master's degrees from Syracuse University; an MA at the graduate program in Florence and then an MLS (Master of Library Science) in New York. She worked in Boston as librarian at MIT then went back to Italy as director of the library for Syracuse University in her beloved Florence. There, working with a research faculty and graduate students, she was immersed in art and architecture of Italy. Mary Ellen acted as guide to new students on tours of the city and often lectured at various sights for student weekend trips. Following 13 years of living in Italy, she returned to the US and established a successful travel consulting business in Denver. Mary Ellen divides her time between Denver, Colorado and Florence, Italy.

About Us
We believe that travel is enhanced by understanding the country through the people and culture, both past and present.
We emphasize the historical without sacrificing the delights of Italy: the food and wine, fine shopping and georgous scenery! Take advantage of our experience and come away with an understanding of how people differ – but, also, how they are the same.
